Jem has a multi-disciplinary creative background and has worked freely across the fields of landscape, architecture, and furniture. Trained as a designer in his native Australia, he first worked for Charles Morris in Norfolk before joining Thomas Heatherwick’s team in 2004. He was a key designer on a number of the Studio’s projects, including La Maison Unique in New York and the British Pavilion for the Shanghai World Expo. In 2008 he moved to concentrate on his passion for landscape design and has worked on gardens in the UK, France, Italy and Australia. Jem joined Tom Stuart-Smith Ltd in late 2009.
