The courtyard garden at the barn was entirely redeveloped in 2007. It uses materials left over from the 2005 Daily Telegraph Chelsea show garden.
The tanks and wall of corten steel are reminiscent of the old corrugated iron buildings that once filled this former farmyard. While the garden’s design is entirely modern, there is an intrinsic nostalgia about its material components.
Tom's garden is open to the public on Sunday 20 June 2010, 2pm-5pm, as part of the National Gardens Scheme.
