Granja Alnardo

Ribera del Duero, Spain

We have been working for the celebrated wine maker Peter Sisseck since 2013 on creating a sustainable, organic landscape around his cellars, biodynamic farm and visitor buildings in the Duero valley. All the buildings are designed by Danish architect Henning Larsen. The paths terraces and walls are all made of the same stone as the house which is quarried just a few kilometers away. Using a combination seeding and planting, mainly of native species, we have started a process of dynamic development in the landscape. No water is used in routing maintenance and no chemicals, fertilisers or imported soil.
